When Your Dreams Don’t Follow a Set Schedule
In elementary school, 麦迪逊 was homeschooled and took co-op Montessori classes. When it came time to enter middle and high school, she and her family were concerned about how this would affect her schedule.
作为一个优等生, the rigid schedule of a traditional high school curriculum would no doubt make it difficult to attend extracurricular activities and other obligations that were important to this bright and promising student. But with the goal of attaining a bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, 麦迪逊的成绩是最重要的. She needed a school that not only offered a strong science, 技术, 工程, and mathematics (STEM) curriculum but dual-credit enrollment at the university of her choice.
That’s when 麦迪逊 and her family decided that Connections Academy’s virtual school program was just what they were looking for.

With the ability to complete assignments during non-traditional school hours, 麦迪逊 has been able to fulfill her obligations as a community outreach provider, 导师, and founder and team captain of RoboChicks, 屡获殊荣的, 高中女子机器人队.
